Founded by Nihar Hari, Ten Cents of Hope is driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to financial education. Nihar oversees the nonprofit’s programs and initiatives, ensuring that knowledge is not just shared, but put into practice to create lasting impact.

About Me​

I am a 10th grader with a passion for investing and seeing my investments grow. I started my investing journey at the age of nine, when my parents opened a brokerage custodian account for me. From the pocket money I received from my parents and grandparents,  as well as birthday cash gifts, I started putting a framework in place for myself to save, invest and grow my small portfolio. I did this without denying myself the joys of buying pleasures and doing the things I want to do.

What started as a minimum investment in my custodian brokerage account is now a three figure asset value.

While I have been fortunate to have access to the educational resources and parental guidance to set me up for success with savings and investment, I realize that many others have not had the same opportunity. And so, I started Ten Cents of Hope to share my learnings with others and help them embark on their own journey of whatever financial success means to them.
